What is Today rewards?


Today Rewards is a cash back program exclusive for Today Card members! Members can shop from selected brands and gain cash back when they use our magic link and their today card to complete the purchase.




How do I earn cash back?


It's easy, just follow these simple 3 steps!

  1. Open Today Rewards portal on desktop
  2. Choose a brand you wish to shop from and click the magic link in the offer page
  3. Pay with Today card & get rewarded




How do I sign up?


Thank you for showing interest! Here's how you can sign up and start earning:

  1. Go to the Today Rewards Portal
  2. Log in with the same email/mobile number and password that you use for the Today app
  3. Follow and complete the registration process
And done! You can now fully enjoy Today Rewards!




Is Today Rewards going to have a mobile version?


Soon! We are currently on our way to making Today Rewards available in-app to shop and earn cash back





Purchasing

What are exclusions?


Exclusions are products or services that would not be eligible for cash back.




Is there a spending requirement for the offers?


Not at all, there are no spending requirements for all of our offers! Spend as much or as little as you want and you will still get the cash back!




Can I use a promo code?


Yes, we are all about shopping wisely! You can use promo codes that are offered on the brand's website or that have been sent to you. However, please note that you cannot use discounts obtained from browser extensions (ex. Rakuten, honey) as our system will not be able to recognize your transactions and you won’t be able to earn cash back.




Can I use browser extensions (ex. Rakuten, Honey, etc..) to get more discounts?


Unfortunately no. You cannot use discounts obtained from browser extensions as our system will not be able to recognize your transactions and you won’t be able to earn cash back.




Can I share the ‘magic link’?


No, you can’t share the magic link. To be eligible for cash back, each member will need to log into the Today rewards portal and use their Today card to complete the purchase.




Can I earn cash back if I miss a step?


Unfortunately no. All steps are needed for you to earn cash back. Please also note that you need to shop on the same window that the magic link took you.




How is my cash back calculated when purchases are made in different currencies?


If your purchase was not in Canadian dollars, we will use the exchange rate that is at the time of the purchase to convert it into Canadian dollars. Then, using that converted amount, we will reward a portion of it as cash back.
Keep in mind that there will be a foreign exchange processing fee that would occur from this and this will not be included in the cash back!





Earning and Redeeming Cash Back

Do returns affect my cash back?


Yes. If you return an item, the cash back for that particular product will be deducted from the rewards balance. So if you do a partial refund, you get to keep most of the cash back, just not for the item returned. Don't worry! If you do not have enough cash back accumulated in your rewards balance, then it will show a negative value on the rewards balance.




Does my earned cash back have an expiry date?


No, they do not. Your cash back will be in your rewards balance for as long as you like, so you can collect and earn cash back at your own pace! While we do not have an expiry date for earned cash back, we do have a 30 day limit for a negative cash back balance. If the cash back balance is a negative value for more than 30 days with no additional activity to reduce the negative amount, we will deduct the negative balance from the member’s account balance.




How do I redeem my cash back?


Once you collect $15 or more cash back, you can simply click the redeem button that is next to your cash back balance. Once the button is clicked, your cash back is instantly added to your wallet in the Today app.




Why can't I redeem my cash back right away?


To redeem your cash back, you need to have $15 or more in your cash back balance. This is to ensure that there is enough time for us to verify transactions and get the accurate amount of cash back to you.




Can I redeem my cash back on other cards?


Unfortunately, no. The Today rewards program is exclusive to Today card members.





Missing Cash Back

I don't see my cash back - when will the balance update?


Once the merchant verifies your purchase, then we can distribute your cash back. Unfortunately, we cannot provide you an accurate estimate of when your purchase will get verified, as it varies for each merchant. If it's been more than 5 business days after your transaction was posted in your Today app and you still haven't received your cash back, get in touch with our support team via live chat in the Today app or email support@mytodaycard.com; they will be able to look into it! Please note that any member who has come to our attention for abusing the Today Reward system in any way will not be eligible for instant cashback and will be required to wait for approximately 30 to 60 days, when the merchant settles the transaction.




I just saw that my cash back was deducted from the balance. Why is that?


This would happen if you have recently returned an item. If you return an item, the cash back for that particular product will be deducted from the rewards balance. So if you do a partial refund, you get to keep most of the cash back, just not for the item returned. Don't worry! Also, there might be a case that you would see a negative cash back balance - This will happen if you do not have enough cash back accumulated in your rewards balance. So to go back to a positive balance, you just need to keep earning! Please note that if you have a negative cash back balance for more than 30 days and there is no additional activity to reduce the negative cash back, we reserve the right to deduct the negative amount from your card account balance. If you haven’t returned an item recently and your cash back was deducted, please reach out to our support team via live chat in the Today app or email support@mytodaycard.com, so they can look into this issue for you!




I returned a part of my order and now the entire cash back for that purchase is gone- what to do?


Oh no, that's terrible! Only the cash back for the returned item(s) should be deducted from your rewards balance. Reach out to our support team by live chat or by email (support@mytodaycard.com) and they can resolve that right away.

What information does XTM Inc. collect about me?


We collect 2 types of information about you:

  • Basic user information
    • Name
    • Phone number
    • Email
    • Mailing address
    • Date of Birth
    • Favorite categories and brands
  • Transaction information through your Today card
    • Merchant name
    • Post date
    • Purchase amount
The information above helps us to personalize your experience as much as possible and also ensure us to accurately reward the cash back you've earned.




How does XTM use my information?


The information asked when you sign up for Today Rewards is used to provide you a personalized and seamless experience on the platform. To learn in detail about how we use your information, please check the terms and conditions.




Can I have a different mailing address than the one on file?


Yes! When you are completing your purchases, you can set your mailing address to anywhere you want. However, please make sure that the billing address is the same as the one on file. A clash in different billing addresses may cause a failed transaction, so make sure it’s the same! Here’s how you can check your billing address in the app:

  1. Log into the Today app
  2. Tap “More” in the bottom right
  3. Tap “Profile”, under Account; located first in the list
  4. Under the address, you should be able to see your billing address




How do I update my personal information? (ex. my password, email, etc.)


You can update your password and your mailing address in your Today app! Here’s how you can update your personal information in the Today app:

  1. Log into your Today app
  2. Tap “More” in the bottom right
  3. Tap “Profile”, under Account; located first in the list
  4. Tap on the “Edit” button in the section you want to update your information
  5. Update your information and tap on the yellow button at the bottom.
